Martin's School of Cooking
The classroom is located adjacent to the second floor of the store’s Side Door Deli. Featuring state-of-the-art professional-grade appliances by KitchenAid, the classroom can accommodate from 20 to 30 students per class. Area chefs conduct the classes and include Martin’s Executive Chef Scott Rossen, Chefs Alan Perry and Tim Carrigan of Ivy Tech Community College; Mike Stephans, TV feature host; Michelle Dahms, independent chef, Living Light Culinary Institute; Greg Beachey and Peter Pica of Elkhart Career Center; Mark Mesaros of Wine Down Bistro; and Tim Foley of Bit of Swiss.

Class fees range from $10 to $25 per person. Tickets are available at the Customer Service counter at the Heritage Square Martin’s. Also you can check out the online schedule at www.martins-supermarkets.com.

Martin’s Announces Private Cooking Class Opportunities

In addition to the regularly scheduled weekly classes currently being offered, the School of Cooking is making available four exciting new options for specialized classes.

At the Chef’s Table features a five-course dinner based on a private group’s area of culinary interest and the featured chef’s creativity.

An Evening in the Kitchen offers participants a three-hour experience that includes developing and shopping for a menu based on seasonal foods. Students assist in preparing dishes and dine on their creations.

All About Classes provide focused instruction on one of seven methods, including Simple Pan Sauces, Gravies, Pasta and Sauces, Eggs, Vegetables, Fruits or Marinades, Rubs and Spices.

“You Choose” Demonstration Classes allows students to choose any past School of Cooking Demonstration Class for a private party of minimum of 20, maximum of 25, students.

Classes are held in the Cooking Classroom at the Martin’s Heritage Square store, located adjacent to the second floor of the store’s Side Door Deli and feature state-of-the-art professional-grade appliances and cookware provided by KitchenAid.
